Help & FAQ

Common questions and answers about GovConToday.

How does match scoring work?
Your match score (0-100%) is based on how well an opportunity fits your profile. NAICS code match is worth the most (40 points), followed by set-aside match (20), state (15), procurement type (10), and keyword matches (15). Add more profile details in Settings to improve your scores.
How does AI personalization work?
GovConToday gets more useful the more you use it. As you build your company profile, track opportunities, save contacts, and record bid outcomes, the AI uses this context to generate more relevant recommendations. Specifically, every AI feature (pursuit briefs, compliance matrix, Q&A, proposals, follow-up suggestions) includes your company profile, pipeline history, and debrief lessons in its analysis. Your data powers your workspace — it is never used to train AI models or shared with other users.
What does the Go/No-Go Recommendation mean?
The AI analyzes the full solicitation text and produces a bid recommendation score (0-100). Above 60 is "Bid", 40-60 is "Watch", below 40 is "Skip". The score considers clearance requirements, CMMC levels, incumbent risk, past performance requirements, and how well the opportunity matches your capabilities.
How do I use the Pipeline?
Click "Watch" on any opportunity to save it to your Pipeline. Then move it through stages: Watching → Reviewing → Preparing → Submitted → Won/Lost. Use this to track your active bids and manage your capture process.
How often is opportunity data updated?
We fetch new opportunities from SAM.gov every morning. AI enrichment (summaries, bid analysis) runs throughout the day. Search results include all active opportunities in our database.
What is the Weekly Briefing?
Every Monday, we send a summary email with your top matched opportunities from the past week, closing deadlines, and market trends. Check the Briefings page for past editions.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → Billing → "Manage Subscription". This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel, update your payment method, or view invoices. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period.
What NAICS codes should I use?
Enter the codes that describe your primary business activities. For IT consulting, common codes are 541511 (Custom Computer Programming), 541512 (Computer Systems Design), and 541519 (Other Computer Related Services). You can look up codes at census.gov/naics.
Why are some opportunities showing 'No solicitation text available'?
Some SAM.gov listings don't include inline description text. In these cases, the solicitation details are in attached PDF documents. We're working on summarizing those documents automatically.
